Raising safety and throughput with smarter ATC Systems

Today in an ATC tower, the controller is surrounded by a number of individual systems all having their own interface, without any common information management.

GECI has developed an integrated tower working position (ITWP) with safety, operational and technical factors which embraces various airport air side systems and facilitates the information to the controller. In the future, a greater number of systems will provide even more information to the controller.

The ITWP has the foundations of an A-SMGCS (advanced surface movement guidance and control system) and electronic flight strips. The system provides guidance, routing, and planning functions with application of arrival manager, departure manager, stand and gate management system, CFMU, datalink, ATFM as well as meteorological.
