Likewise, this Code promotes safety in operations, respect for the environment and occupational health and safety.

This code has also been distributed to our suppliers, so that they are aware of our guidelines and can adhere to them.

Our organization has a strong commitment to comply with the legal requirements applicable to our activity, which are identified and evaluated. Management allocates the necessary resources to ensure compliance.

We have identified our environmental aspects and establish annual improvement objectives to reduce their impact. Mainly these aspects are related to our logistics activities, which due to the nature of our activity generate many movements of materials and equipment around the world.

Health & Safety

Health and safety risks to worker are identified and evaluated. The following fundamental principles are applied in order to manage them:

  1. ELIMINATE risks: through changes in the production process that avoid the presence of the dangerous substance or through the substitution of the dangerous substance by another that is not, or is less dangerous.
  2. REDUCE or CONTROL the risks: these measures will only be considered when it is not possible to eliminate the risks due to the type of activity carried out or while the necessary measures to eliminate the risks are being adopted.
  3. PROTECT THE WORKER: When the above options are not possible and only temporarily, the worker shall be provided with personal protective equipment (PPE).

A fundamental point in the health and safety of our system is the coordination of business activities, since we frequently coincide with clients and suppliers in our work. It is very important to establish a fluid and effective coordination to operate safely in the performance of work and projects.

MANAGEMENT POLICY

Risk and Productivity Solutions

Risk-based thinking is used at all levels of the organization to try to anticipate possible deviations, establish preventive plans and, if they materialize, define containment plans.

GECI has a management system that integrates all standards. The documentary structure is based on a management manual that establishes how each requirement of each of the standards is fulfilled. From this document we have describe the processes, procedures and technical instructions that describe all our activities.

The PMI methodology is used for all project management, to ensure that the objectives and scope of the project are met in time and cost.

Within the safety management in our sector we give special importance to the following principles

  • Safety products and repair operations. Human factor control.
  • Zero FOD. Avoidance of foreign objects in all production and logistics areas.
  • Preventing the use of forged or doubtful original parts.
  • Adequately manage the service to ensure delivery on time and quality.
  • Continually improve our systems to respond to changes in our organization, the needs of our customers and the regulations and legal requirements to which we are subject.

Information Security

GECI has developed and maintains an information security management system fully integrated with the organisation’s activities based on the ISO/IEC 27001 standard.

Through the management system, policies, safeguards, and procedures have been established to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of GECI’s business process information.

The information security management system provides tools to ensure business continuity in secure conditions even in adverse situations. To this end, a thorough risk management is carried out in the parameters of information security, both physical and logical.

The management system is continuously improved, reinforcing security in key elements and continuously training people in the organisation.
